Skin Care Routine + Products Used

Ever since I hit puberty, I've always had sensitive skin. Maybe it's because I have unbalanced hormones, especially since my period's irregular (yes, I'm that shameless), that I have constant breakouts; although it's not that bad anymore compared to when I was younger.

Now, I have more black/white heads than pimples, that's why I have tiny bumps and unevenness on my skin, which can be easily taken care of by facials. Though I still have some reddish pimple marks and some minor discoloration on my cheeks and jaw part, from my constant "pimple popping" when I was younger, that looks really unpleasant. It makes me look like I have pimple infested face, even though it's just marks.

ME WITHOUT MAKEUP HARHARHAR!!
The pimple marks doesn't look that bad because of the good lighting but honestly, my skin's not that good.

I've already consulted a dermatologist and she gave me two prescribed products, Erythromycin, which I use as a toner and some sort of cream whose name I forgot. They're supposed to "push out" the black/white heads and other junks from my pores so that when I have a facial, it would be easily removed.

I don't recommend using them since it might not suit your skin type.

Since summer is a season that I greatly resent, mainly because hot and humid weather does not bode well for my skin. Meaning, I'll probably have a lot of break outs because of sweat and germs. And since it's hot, the skin naturally opens our pores making it easier for the dirt and germs to enter the skin.

For some reason, my skin just can't stand hot weather, it's much more suited for colder weathers. Like when my family and I went on a vacation in Hongkong or Baguio my skin was almost flawless! The redness was toned down, pores closed, and the pimples and blackheads almost disappeared!

I was soo happy because I finally had clear skin! And then it was all shattered when we went back home, those blemishes also went back >o<!!

So summer is the season where skin care is a must! Well at least for me

Night Routine

Etude House's Happy Essential Foam with Vitamin C
It's 60% facial foam/wash and 40% moisturizer

(R-L) Back view and as most Etude House products, it has a cover so that bacteria's wouldn't enter; pretty hygienic.

I start my day by washing my face so that I could get rid of the creams that I put the other night and some facial oil that accumulated on my face while I was asleep. I also use before going to sleep.

I love this product! It smells so good, I could just eat it up! It also feel so smooth on my face and leaves my face feel fresh and gives me a healthy glow.

Etude House's Skin Malgeum Toner in Fresh

(R-L) Upper back view and Lower back view

Etude House's Skin Malgeum comes in different varieties based on your skin type. Since mine is oily, I bought the one in fresh. It's a hypoallergenic toner so it's very good for people with very sensitive skin.

Apparently "Malgeum" in Korean means cleanliness, clarity, and pureness. This line promotes clean, clear and pure complexion that's really ideal to most people, esp. women.

I started using this last year, around March, and since Etude tend to replace and discontinue their products a lot, I ended up buying 4 more. (Meh, the result of my panic buying)

This is actually my last bottle, I don't know if Etude still sells them, but I'm going to MOA next week so I'm going to check if they still have it.

Garnier Skin Naturals in Light

I used Garnier Skin Naturals in Light as my night cream. It has SPF 17 and PA++ with anti-UVB and UVA. It claims that it can whiten skin up to 4 tones lighter and can reduce dark spots.

I think it did a good job and it did justice to it's claims; it did whiten my face and it also lighten some of my pimple marks making it less noticeable.

BATH ROUTINE

 Kojie-san Skin Lightening Soap

Back View

Inside there's three blocks of soap

I like using Kojic acid based soaps since they are really effective in whitening the skin. I use Kojie-san since it's one of the most trusted brands here in the Philippines and it also smells good, kind of like oranges.

I have dark armpits, elbows, and knees and it really helps in whitening them. I also suggest using scrubs to help really get rid of the dead skin cells.

Active White Skin Milk Salt in Strawberry

My mother suggested for me to use milk salt scrubs to help whiten my armpit and other parts of my body that needs whitening. It also very effective; it gets rid of dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling smooth and clean.

DAY ROUTINE
 Nivea Sun Kids

I use Nivea Sun Kids since it has SPF 50 with PA++. It really helps me protect my skin from the harmful rays of the sun. I used this a lot in April (Peak of summer, so freaking hot 0.0) and also planning to use this during cheering practice so that I won't look like a burnt egg by the end of the day.

I use this on my body since I use BB creams on my face.

Etude House BB Cream in Honey Beige

I like using BB Creams than foundations since it has much more benefits compared to the latter. BB creams has more than 5 uses; primer, foundation, sun-block, moisturizer, and skin-lightening. It can also heal pimples and pimple marks.

RANDOM ROUTINES

Etude House Bee Happy Hand Cream

Etude House Bee Happy Hand Cream

Etude House Hand Bouquet Rich Collagen Hand Cream

Got both of these last Christmas; honestly, I've never really bothered with hand creams since I though that lotions and moisturizers can do it's job but hand creams are much more better for that hands than those.

Hand creams dry much more faster and felt less sticky than lotions/moisturizers and when you wet or get clammy hands, the hand cream doesn't "melt off" like lotions/moisturizers does and also the smoothness is different than what lotions/moisturizers gives.

Human Heart Nature Body Butter Cream in Berry Mix

Of course, what kind of skin care routine would this be without moisturizer? This gives me those soft and smooth skin and it also smells yummy. I use this regularly whether during the morning, after bath or before going to sleep, it doesn't really have a set schedule for me.

Bello Essentials Deodorant

It claims to have whitening effects and anti-perspiration; though I don't know about the latter since it "melts off" when I sweat but it does whiten my under arm, so it's good enough for me.

Off! Anti Mosquito Lotion

I used this more during the rainy days to avoid dengue, since I don't want to experience them again. It feels stick though and also smells icky. Not really a "skin care" material but more of a "health care".

Well better have this than be sorry later on.

Saizen Charcoal Mask

I heard a lot of raves about this so I ended up buying one. At first I was quote afraid since I don't know the brand much but it really does a great job. I steam my face first to get those pores open up then use this and then after you'll face will feel smooth and clean. It gets rid of that icky stuffs that clogged your pores like black/white heads, dirt and etc.

Human Heart Nature Purifying Facial Scrub

I've already used up all of my Etude facial foam so I'm using this as a substitute until I finally have the time to go and buy one and my god! It's sooo gooood!

The scrubs are made up of strawberry seeds which are large enough to not clog the pores, it helps with oil control, ORGANIC, and smells yummy, like a yogurt! I badly want to eat it!

The only bad side is that, it only lasted me a week! They don't have the full sized one so I bought the smaller one instead. I ended up going back to Robinson's Supermarket and buying 3 more.

At the rate this rate, I'm going to be broke in the near future =-=

Etude House's Facial Mask

I use this randomly; whenever I felt like it. It makes my face feel fresh and clean after using it. Also helps with oil control.

Wow! That's a long post~ So tired XP!

Until next time, Ciaossu~~
